IKEA / 3D Banken

Collaborative work on a platform for product discovery, digital assets and 3D inspection. Every product in the catalogue can be opened and inspected as 3D geometry, down to each screw.

Models transfer between machines. They push over web sockets to running DCCs (3ds Max, Blender, Maya) on a colleague's machine and load dynamically during the session. Assets are versioned from v1 to v2. Models move through review and approval while keeping their history. Every asset includes its data, allowing reporting across the entire bank: QC on each model, per asset, at any stage.

The same asset can be re-rendered for badges, books, or packaging.
