Banc Afrique

Designed with Phoenix Design Aid.

This was a complete publication, not a cover job: the African Development Bank's yearly statistical report and addendum, designed end to end — the A-series cover system, content layouts, typography and information design throughout the interior.

The report is a core reference document for African policy decision-making, and the design had to carry that weight without noise.

The treatment gives the series a colourful voice — evoking the love of colour across the continent while favouring no single part of Africa. The ADB is a multinational institution, and the design represents it as such.
